Me & My Journey

I started dancing at the age of three and was enamoured from the start. I loved how I could express myself through movement and found myself nurtured by it. I grew up with a dancer′s discipline and continued to embrace my passion into adulthood by completing a degree in dance with drama and theatre studies.

Of course, life happens and after I had my children, I lost my way a bit, as women sometimes do. Like so many parents, I was completely focused on my family; paying the bills and keeping my children alive! In doing so I forgot about myself. I didn’t allow any time for dance and completely lost my mojo.

I didn’t realise how off-track my mental and physical health had become until a relationship breakdown coincided with the recent pandemic. It forced me to slow down which gave me the chance to examine my life from a different perspective. I realised that I needed to start making myself a priority and find a bit of personal happiness. I knew by doing that I would be able to become the best mum, the best daughter, the best friend and the best version of myself that I could possibly be.

I turned to exercise, doing Joe Wicks in the morning with the kids and also Yoga every day on my own. The breathing, the meditation and the space that I gave to myself; being present in the moment and really appreciating it, helped in my journey of mental and physical healing.

Regularly exercising reminded me of my love of movement. I’d forgotten how wonderful, free and happy it made me feel. It was then that I knew I wanted to show everyone how they could experience the same happiness and wellbeing that I did.

Rediscovering my mojo and with a passion I felt compelled to share, I decided to use my time during the pandemic to study and complete a level 3 diploma in personal training.

Now I can officially help others to love, enjoy and benefit from movement, just as I do.
